Five Persons Including A School Boy Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Wasp Attack

Five persons including a 11 year old

School Boy had been injured and hospitalized due to a wasp attack occurred in a vegetable cultivation at a Tea estate in Maskeliya -Maussakale area this morning (12).

The injured had been admitted to the Maskeiya Provincial Hospital for treatment .

The incident occurred when the Provoked wasps attached to a nest near by attacked the injured who were working in the vegetable cultivation.

An Iron Fence Is Being Contructed At Ella-Wellawaya Road

An Iron Fence is being constructed at Ella-Wellawaya main road to minimize the accidents occurred due to landslides in the road it has been reported .

The construction work of the Iron fence is being carried out by Road Development Authority(RDA) along with a foreign firm under the instructions of Disaster Management Ministry according to reports .

A Prison Guard Had Been Arrested With 1000 Grammes Of Heroin

Investigations Unit of the Kalutara Police Division had arrested a Prison guard attached to Welikada prison whilst transporting 1000 grammes of Heroin from Kalutara to Horana in a Motorcycle today (12).

The suspected prison guard had transported Rs..150,000 worth haul of Heroin according to police .

Veteran Popular Actor/Director Jayalath Manoratne Has Been Passed Away

Veteran popular Stage Drama/Tele Drama/Cinema actor /Director /Lyricist /Poem writer Jayalath Manoratne has been passed away today(12)at his residence in Biralesgamuwa at the age of 71 .

Was born on 12 th of june 1948 ,Late Manoratne was active in the industry from 1970-2019.

His funeral is scheduled to be held this wednesday .
