Former SPC Chairman Rumi Mohommad Had Been Arrested Him And Remanded Over Media Briefing On White Van Abductions
The former Chairman of the State
Pharmaceutical Corporation (SPC) Rumi Mohommad Hashim has been arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) this morning (31)after he was surrendering to CID over the allegations levelled against him on providing financial assistance to conduct a media briefing on white van abductions .
The former SPC Chairman Rumi had been remanded until 06 th of January by Colombo Additional Magistrate Shalini Perera after been produced him before the court today.
Colombo Additional Magistrate oppossed to release Former SPC chairman on bail as it might affect the ongoing investigations on Media briefing conducted on White van abductions .

Four Airmen Were Killed Due To Three Wheeler-Lorry Collision

Airforce Base had been killed after the Three Wheeler they were travelling in colliding with a Truck near Ranwala Junction at Warakapola on Colombo -Kandy main road in wee hours of this morning (31).
The deceased who were of the ages 18,28,37 and 38 years and residents of Kahatagasdigiliya,Kosgama ,Warankahawa,Ballapana areas .had faced the incident whilst returning after attending a funeral .
Warakapola Police have arrested the Truck Dtiver over the incident .The suspect is due to be produced before Warakapola Magistrate Court.

Two Motorcyclists And A Piliion Rider Had Been Injured Due To Colliding Of Two Motorcycles
Two Motorcyclists and a pillion rider
haf been injured and hospitalized after the two high speed Motorcycles they were riding in colliding with each other face to face this evening (31) at Gondennawa area in Navalapitiya on Navalapitiya-Gampola main road .
The injured had been admitted to Navalapitiya District Hospital for treatment .
The incident occurred when the two high speed Motorcycles had attempted to overtake a lorry travelling in a same direction it has been revealed.
The two motorcycles had badly damaged due to the incident.
