Another 24 Hour Water Cut At Many Areas In Western Province
Another 24 hour water cut has been
implemented in many areas of Western province from 8 a.m this morning until 8 a.m tomorrow morning (24) due to a renovation work of Kelaniya South Bank project The National Water Supplies and Drainage Board has announced .
Accordingly A 24 hour water cut has been implemented in areas including Katunayake,Seeduwa ,Ja-ela-Wattala ,Mabole Urban Council areas and ,Kerwalapitiya,Welisara, Ragama ,Bulugaswatte ,Ragama ,Batuwatte and Horape areas .
Meanwhile the 24 hour water cut implemented in many areas of Colombo District since 9 a.m last morning has ended at 9 a.m this morning .
As water is an essential requirement for survival ,Long water cuts can caused spreading of Dengue ,and many watet borne diseases epidemeologists have warned.

President Has Issued An Extra Ordinary Gazette On Deploying Armed Forces Island Wide To Maintain Public Security
President Gotabaya Rajapakshe has
issued an extra ordinary Gazette Notification announcing the deployment of Tri forces to maintain public security in all 25 administrative districts .
Accordingly Army ,Navy and Airforce personal are being deployed to maintain public security by the president accordance to the powers vested with him under the constitution .
This step has been taken due to the lifting of state of emergency after the easter sunday attack it has been announced

Young Journalists Asdociation Requested Police Commission To Re-Instste CID Director SSP Shani Abeysekare Who Had Been Transfered
Young Journalists Association had
requested the National Police Commission in writing yesterday (22)to re instate the Senior Superintendent of Police(SSP) Shani Abesekare who had been transferred as Personal Assistant of Deputy Inspector General Of Police (DDG) in Southern province as Director of Criminal Investigations Department (CID). .
In the letter sent to the National Police Commission Young Journalist Association has questioned the independemce of the commission which given CID Director Shani Abesekare a quick transfer soon after being requested by Acting Inspector General Of Police .
Due to the transfer of CID Director there's a threat of interfering lots of criminal cases investigated by SSP Shani the Association has pointed out.

Long Water Cuts Helping To Spread Dengue Faster -Epidemeologists
Long hour water cuts will help to spread Dengue rapidly especially in slum areas according to the Epidemeologists .
Due to long water cuts people in slum areas and other areas are collecting water to plastic containers and barrels for storage and due to not covering these items well Dengue mosquitoes are laying eggs on the water of these containers it has been revealed .
As the number of Dengue patients reported so far during this month exceeds 10,000 , this kind of long water cuts will help to spread Dengue further Epidemeologists have warned.
Due to the lack of vision of the officials Dengue menace has now become a national disaster according to them.
