Police Have Advised Motorists To Use An Alternative Routes At Marine Drive

Police have advised motorists to use an
alternative routes due to a heavy traffic congestion occurred at Marine drive area in Colombo -04 from Dehiwala to Colpetty this evening (26).

Traffic congestion had occurred due to the renovation work on the area it has been revealed.

Police Have Recovered A Stock Of Arms And Ammunition Hidden At Palai Area

bullets graphic art සඳහා පින්තුර ප්‍රතිඵලPalai Police have recovered a stock of Arms and ammunition hidden at Karandiya area in  Police division including a A-47 firearm and 11 hand grenades accordance to the information provided by the Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) attached to   Palai Hospital Sinnaiah Ruban who is in police custody .

Among the Arms and ammunition recovered were two magazines ,120 cartridges ,10 Kilo Grammes of PE-10 Explosives and a Telescope it has been revealed .

The suspect is under the custody of Terrorist Investigations Division (TID) and being questioned over terrorist activities .He was arrested by TID officers recently over supporting terrorism .

Nine Persons Injured Due To A Road Accident

Nine persons had  recieved minor
injuries  after the High speed Van they were travelling in veering off the road and crashed in to a lamp post nearby this morning (25)at Andiya puliyankulama  area  in Settikulam ,Vavuniya.

The incident occurred whilst the injured travelling to Madu church in Mannar from Wattala it has been revealed. 

Parayansnkulam Police are conducting an investigations over the incident. 

More Than 2000 Kilo Grammes Of Beedi Leaves Recovered From North

Sri Lanka Navy have today
(25)recovered 2264 Kilo Grammes of Beedi leaves wrapped in 27 parcels at beech areas Wankale ,Old pear and Nadukuda   in Mannar and Thalaimannar areas during a search operation.

The stock of Beedi leaves had been handed over to the Jaffna Customs office for further investigations.
