A Thowheed Jammath Activist Has Been Arrested

Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) officers  have today (25) arrested a 59 year old Islam Preacher and member of the banned extremist group National Thowheed Jamaaath Organization over supporting and encouraging  of three Extremist Muslim Organizations to  establish terrorism here  and supporting Easter Sunday attacks and  creating   unrest among nationals in the country ,at Muruthawela,Mawanalla .

The suspect is a Teacher who teach Islamic religion by visitng houses it has been revealed.

Navy Recovered 574 Kilo Grammes Of Beedi Leaves

SrI Lanka Navy personal have today (24) recovered 574 Kilo Grammes of "Beedi "Leaves at Thalaimannar   and  Mannar areas it has been announced .

The stock of "Beedi " leaves was wrapped in 10 parcels according to reported .No one was arrested in this regard.

A Third Year University Student Had Died After Fallnig Down

A third year Engineering faculty student attached to  the Eastern University at Oluvil, Batticaloa has suddenly died after falling down at the university premises yesterday  (24).

The cause behind the death of the student who was a resident of Hatton area

has not  yet been revealed.

His post mortem is  due .
