A Group Of 30 Sri Lankan Females Worked In Kuwait Returned The Country After Facing Harrasment



Around 30 Sri Lankan House Maids

employed in Kuwait and faced various kinds of harassment had returned to the country this morning  (21).

Majority of these females had employed in various companies by staying in a hostel it has been revealed. Once an organized Gang had smuggled then and looted their money and goods according to reports .

After keeping them in a place they have left then in a road and Police have taken them into custody and sent them to a detention center. The group of Females had returned to the country with the courtesy of Sri Lankan Embassy in Kuwait .

A Person. Arrested With 'Ice' And 'Heroin " Narcotics In Possession

Special Police Task Force Personal have
arrested a person with 35.500 Grammes of Ice narcotic and 1.380 Grammes of Heroin in his possession at Dematagoda area .

The suspect has been handed over to the Dematagoda Police for further investigations. 

Three Persons Arrested With Firearms At Udawalawa Park

Special Police Task Force(STF) Personal
attached to SuriyaWewa camp have arrested three Persons who had entered the Udawalawa National Zoological Park  illegally with three firearms in possession today (21).

The three suspects had been arrested with a 12 Bore rifle and another two rifles in their possession  at Hambegamuwa and Thanamalwila areas of the park during raids carried out by the STF Personal.

The suspects had been handed over to the Udawalawa Wild Life conservation officers for furthere investigations .

A Person Was Arrested With 20 Grammes Of Heroin

Moratuwa Police have arrested a 43
year old person whilst transporting 20 Grammes of Heroin from a Motorcycle at Katunadda,Moratuwa yesterday  (20).

Police officers have recovered the haul of Heroin during the inspection of the Motorcycle.

The suspect who is a resident of  Angulana,Moratuwa is due to be produced before the Court .

Around 16,000 Unemployed Graduates To Receive Government Jobs This Month -Minister Kabir Hasheem

Around 16,000 unemployed graduates
scheduled to be recruited for government jobs at the end of this Month according to Minister Kabir Hasheem .These graduates are due to be provided with appointment letters for their jobs this month Minister hasherm has stressed during a meeting held at Hatton town today  (21).

Government has also planned to provide employment opportunities for unemployed youth within next three month period he has further said.
