Dr. Safi Arrested Over Earning Assets Illegally Had Filed Fundamental Rights Petition At Supreme Court

attached to the Gynaecology section of the Kurunagala Teaching Hospital who.is currently under detention of Criminal Investigations Department  (CID)and charged over illegal.sterilization has today  (25)filed a fundamental. rights petition at Supreme Court through his lawyers saying his fundamental rights have been violated due to his illegal arrest and detention.

Dr.Safi had accused through the  fundamental rights petition filed at Supreme Court Today that he was arrested by Kurunagala Police last Month over the charges of not disclosing how he earned valuable assets but keeping him under detention under the Terrorism Prevention Act.

He had named OIC OF the Kurunagala Police ,Deputy Inspector General Of Police (DIG) in North Western Province Kithsiri Jayalath ,Inspector pushpalal attached to Kurunagala Police ,Defense Secretary Shantha Kottegoda and Director of CID Senior SP Shani Abeysekare as respondents in his petition .

Five Lawyers including President's Counsel Faiz Mustapha had submitted the petition behalf of Dr.Safi to the Supreme Court under the advise of Ab deen Associated Law firm. 

Five Army Soldiers Had Been Killed -Two Had Been Critically Injured Due To Army Truck -Train Collision

Five Army Soldiers had been killed and
Two soldiers had been critically injured after the Army Truck they were travelling in colliding with the "Yal Devi" Train whilst attempting to cross  over a Railway crossing at 55 junction in KilinochchI area this evening (25).

Four of the soldiers in the Truck had been killed in the spot whilst another soldier admitted alomg with two other critically injured soldiers to KilinochchI Hospital ,Had succumbed to his injuries after admission it has been revealed.

The incident occurred when an Army Truck carrying 07 Army Soldiers travelling to Bharathipuram Army medical camp to bring water had collided with the train as the Truck driver haven't seen the Train arriving  at that time according to Army Media Spokesman Brigadier Sumith Atapattu

All Army Soldiers in the Truck where attached to KilinochchI Army Hospital he had stressed .
