The Head of the State Intelligence Information Unit Deputy Inspector General Of Police (DIG)Sisira Mendis had resigned from his post this noon citing personal health problems .

DIG Mendis who was the former head of of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID)and in charge of  Terrorism Investigations Division (TID (during 2008-2009 had resigned from his post with effective from 01St of June

A Person Arrested With A Haul Of Heroin In Kalpitiya

Sri Lanka Navy along with Police Anti
Narcotic Bureau officials have arrested a 34 Year Old person with 13.12 Grammes of Heroin in possession at Karamba, Kalpitiya area during a joint raid carried out in the area yesterday (07).

The haul of Heroin taken in to custody in possession of the suspect has been prepared to be sold it has been revealed .

The suspect who is a resident of Padaviya area  is under detention of Puttalam Anti Narcotics Bureau for further investigations .

Manjula Ratnayake had yesterday (07) ordered to further remand the Cloth Businessman in Chilaw Abdul Hameed Mohommad Hazar who had been arrested and remanded over Publishing a Facebook post which created a racial unrest in the area,until 21st of June.

The Cloth Businessman who is a resident of Thekkawatta area in Chilaw Was arrested by the Chilaw police last Month after  his Facebook post lead an unrest in Chilaw area .

Chilaw Police have produced the suspect before court .
