A Person Arrested With A Haul Of Heroin In Kalpitiya

Sri Lanka Navy along with Police Anti
Narcotic Bureau officials have arrested a 34 Year Old person with 13.12 Grammes of Heroin in possession at Karamba, Kalpitiya area during a joint raid carried out in the area yesterday (07).

The haul of Heroin taken in to custody in possession of the suspect has been prepared to be sold it has been revealed .

The suspect who is a resident of Padaviya area  is under detention of Puttalam Anti Narcotics Bureau for further investigations .



Muslim Businessman Who Created A Racial Unrest In Chilaw Through A FB Post Further Remanded

Manjula Ratnayake had yesterday (07) ordered to further remand the Cloth Businessman in Chilaw Abdul Hameed Mohommad Hazar who had been arrested and remanded over Publishing a Facebook post which created a racial unrest in the area,until 21st of June.

The Cloth Businessman who is a resident of Thekkawatta area in Chilaw Was arrested by the Chilaw police last Month after  his Facebook post lead an unrest in Chilaw area .

Chilaw Police have produced the suspect before court .


Sixteen Injured Due To School Bus -Garment Bus Collision

Sixteen including fifteen students and a
driver had been injured and hospitalized due to a "Sisusariya "Bus -Garment Factory bus Collision at Pangolla ,Ibbagamuwa Junction on Kurunagala -Dambulla road last morning (07).

The injured had been admitted to Go karella District and Kurunagala Teaching Hospitals for treatment .

Fifteen students attached to Ibba gamuwa Central Collage and the driver of the Bus transporting Garment workers were among the injured it has been revealed .

Around 80 Students were in the Bus at the time of the incident .According to Gokarella Police the incident occurred  due to the  careless driving of the Garment Bus driver .

A Person Was Arrested With "Ice" Narcotics

Crimes Division had arrested a 52 year old person with 10 Grammes of "Ice "Narcotics in possession near MuthuWella Church in Modara Police division today (07).

The suspect  is a resident of Grand pass area in Colombo -12.He is due to be produced before the court .

A Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To A Road Accident

A 28 year old Motorcyclist had been
killed and the Pillion rider had been injured and hospitalized after their Motorcycle colliding with a Cab Infront of Ovitigala Sanasa Bank in Mathugama -Aluthgama road today (07).

The injured Pillion rider was admitted to Nagoda Hospital .The Motorcycle was travelling towards Mathugama at the time of the incident and the Deceased Motorcyclist was identified as  a resident of Thawalama area .

Mathugama Police have arrested the Cab Driver regarding the incident. 

President Sirisena Convened A Special Cabinet Meeting And Told He Will Boycott Cabinet Meetings If Parliament Select Committee On Easter Attack Acting As A Threat To National Security

President Maithripala Sirisena who had
convened a special urgent  Cabinet meeting few hours ago had told Cabinet Ministers that if the Special Parliamentary Select  Committee Probing Easter Sunday Attacks continues to be functioned as a threat  to National Security and State Intelligence service,He will never supported government activities again and will boycott future  Cabinet meetings as well.

President has stressed that The parliamentary Select Committee  is not acting in fair manner.
