Aunt Of Makandure Madush Has Filed A Petition In Supreme Court Seeking Court Order Preventing Arrest Of Madush

The aunt of the Drug kingpin
Makandure Madush who is in remand prison in Dubai ,A.W sriyani of
Suriyawewa ,Hambanthota had filed a fundamental rights petition in Supreme Court today(14)requesting a court order to prevent arresting  of Madush by
police .

The petitioner has named five persons including OIC Of Special Police Task Force (STF)and Inspector General Of Police (IGP)as respondents of the petition.

The petitioner has stated in her petition  that the fundamental rights of Madush had been violated as the police is trying to arrest him baselessly .

A Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To Motorcycle-Car Collision

A 56 year old Motorcyclist had been
killed after the Motorcycle he was riding in colliding with a Motor Car arrived from the opposite direction , in front, in front of Madurankuliya Police Post on Paliyagoda-Puttalam main road this morning(14).

The deceased was identified as a resident of Madurankulama area.

Mundalama Police are conducting an investigation over the incident.

An Introduction Of Treating NCD Patients Through Video Consultation

Ministry Of Health has today (14)introduced a treatment
System which the Public Health Nurses attached to Primary care units in Government Hospitals can consult a Medical consultant through a video message and get an advise on an urgent treatment and information regarding medicine to treat patients with non communicable diseases .

105 Public Health Nurses had been given a Tablet Computer(TAB)each in this regard at a function held at Cinema Hall in BMICH -Colombo this morning (14) under the patronage of Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne.

The aim  of this programme is to reduce the deaths  of  Non communicable diseases which are on the rise at present according to the Health Ministry .

Details and contact numbers of 450 doctors feeded to the Tablet computers distributed amomg public health nurses  today ..Even this video consultation will help to treat patients till reach hospitals The Deputy Director General Of Health Services Dr.Champika Wikramasinghe has stressed .

Around 28,000 new Cancer cases have been identified in Sri Lanka according to the statistics available in National Cancer Control Programme. last year (2018).
