Hot temperatures will prevail  in North ,Eastern ,North Central provinces and most parts of Puttalam district  tomorrow(07)due to the North Eastern monssoon weather without winds prevailing in these areas according to the Meteorology Department.

Due to the hot sunny weather people in these areas are being advised not to involve in hard work  outdoors and drink plenty of water to ease the effects and not allowing elderly persons to go outside much the Department has announced.

Governmemt Legalized The Traditional "Angampora"Martial.Art

Cabinet has today (06)has passed a proposal to legalize the Sri Lankan traditional Martial Art system 'Angampora" submitted by Minister of Housing ,Construction  and Cultural affairs Sajith Premadasa .

The "Angampora"martial art which was used by Sri Lankan patriots when they fought against British rulers  during the great Uva-Wellassa rebellion in 1817-18  was banned by the rulers  afterwards by declaring the pattriots who.led the rebellion as traitors .

However current government  has removed the traitorship imposed on local patriots recently .
