An Eighteen Hour Water Cut To Be Implemented In Four Areas Of Colombo

An eighteen  hour long water cut will

be implemented in four areas of Colombo District from 9 p.m this Saturday  (09) up to 3 p.m on Sunday  (10)according to National Water Supplies and Drainage Board.

Accordingly this water cut will be implemented in Colombo -01,Colombo 13,Colombo -14 and Colombo -15 due to an essential repair work of a water pump at Greater Colombo area the Water Board has stressed.

During the water cut water will be supplied  to Pettah with low pressure the Board has announced.

The Ambassador to Qatar A.S.P. Liyanage a landed  propriter by profession  has decided to resign from his post as a protest of not giving  him a Governor post of a Provincial Council it has been revealed .

Sri Lankan And Dubai Security Forces Arrested 23 Powerful Underworld Gang Members Including "Makandure Mahesh "

Sri Lankan Security forces along with Special Operations Unit of Dubai Police have arrested 23 powerful Underworld Gang Members including the leading organized criminal in  Sri Lanka "Makandure  Madush" whilst participating a Birthday party held at a Hotel in Dubai last night (04).

Among those arrested were So called popular singer Amal Perera  (Son of popular Melodious singer late Mervyn Perera )and a popular teledrama actor it has been revealed .

VariIties of Narcotics including Heroin and Cocaine had been taken in to custudy in possession of the suspects .

The party was held behalf of a Birthday of a son of one of the wives of Makandure Madush " and powerful Underworld Gang Members who had fled away from.the county were invited for it according to Police .

Few underworld gang members who were at the hotel had managed to escape from security forces it has been revealed.


Security forces here are investigating on the relationship between Singer Amal Perera, A popular teledrama actor and arrested  Underworld gang members .
