New US Ambassador Met Speaker To Discuss On The Current Political Conflict

New US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Alain
a Teplitz has met Speaker Karu Jayasuriya at his official Residence in Colombo and discussed on the current Political Conflict in the country it has been reported.

The discussion was held to urge the need of convening the Parliament to solve the current conflict US Embassy has says .

Although President Maithripala Sirisena has informed Speaker Jayasuriya that the Prorogued Parliament will be convened this Wednesday (07) ,Days after President has announced Parliament will be  convened on 14 th of November .

Meanwhile Commonwealth Union has urged the Sri Lankan government to convene the Parliament as soon as possible to solve the current conflict . 

Two Persons Have Died -Three Others Injured Due To A Road Accident

Two persons have died and Three
others had been injured and hospitalized after a falling of a huge Tree on to a Three Wheeler they were travelling in last night (05)at Ragala-Kotamba road in udupussallawa Police division.

The five injured persons had been admitted to Udupussallawa Hospital where two of them had succumbed to their injuries .

The Two deceased persons had been identified as a 28 year and 40  year old residents of   Maspanna area.

Deputy Mimister Of Labour In Newly Elected Government Manusha Nanayakkara Has Resigned From His Portfolio

The Deputy Minister of Labour and
Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara of United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) belonging to the newly Elected government has today (06)resigned from his Ministerial Portfolio and joined Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe's government it has been announced.

He is a MP appointed from the National List and had sworn in as a Deputy Minister before President Maithripala Sirisena last Thursday (01).

However from the letter he had sent to President Sirisena to  inform his resig nation ,MP Manusha Nanayakkara has said that he has accepted the Speaker Karu Jayasuriya's statement on accepting Constitutionally elected government until a faction shows it's majority in Parliament .

MP has also pointed out that he has accepted United National Party leader Ranil Wikramasinghe as the legitimate Prime Minister of Sri Lanka.
