Eleven Tea Pluckers Have Been Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Wasp Attack
Eleven Tea Pluckers attached to a Tea
Estate in Bagawanthalawa area have been injured and Hospitalized due to a Wasp attack while plucking tea leaves at the Estate yesterday (29).
The injured including Nine Female Tea Pluckers and Two male Tea Pluckers have been admitted to the Bagawanthalawa Provincial Hospital for treatment .
The majority of the injured Tea Pluckers had left the Hospital after receiving OPD Treatment it has been revealed.

A Person Was Arrested With Illegal Stocks Of Cigarette Sticks And Liquor Bottles
A 29 year old Person was arrested by
the Police officers attached to Organized Crimes Prevention Division yesterday (28 )with around 22,000 Cigarette sticks and 09 Liquor Bottles illegally imported without paying tax ,in his possession near the Police station at Colombo Port .
The suspect who is a resident of Kotahana area was transporting the illegal stocks of Cigarette sticks and Liquor bottles from a Van at the time of the arrest.
The suspect is due to be produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrate Court today (29).
