Six Persons Were Injured Due To A Road Accident At Southern Expressway

Six persons had been injured and

hospitalized after the Van they were travelling in toppled over near 86.9 th Kilo Meter post between Baddegama and Pinnaduwa areas of Southern Expressway this evening (24).

The injured including two children  were admitted to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital for treatment and their condition is not critical.

The incident occurred when the Van carrying the six persons who were on the way home to Galle  after attending a function ,as the driver of the Van unable to control the speed of the vehicle  .

The Imprisoned  two main suspects of

the Central Bank Bond Scam Owner of the Perpetual Tresuries Limited Arjun Aloysius and the Chief Executive Officer of it Kasun Palisena had been further remanded by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Court until 30 th of August .

The two suspects who were produced before the court yesterday  (23) had been further remanded until 30 th  by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne.
