An Iraqi Family Have Been Arrested While Attempting To Flying To England By A Fake Passport

An Immigration and Emigration officials have arrested three family members a Mother ,Father and Son belonging to a Iraqi family while attempting to flying to Englend by using a  Freaudulent Cyprus passport at the Katunayake,Bandaranaike International Airport today(24).

The suspects had arrived in Sri Lanka through the same Freaudulent Passport and it was prepared while they were in Iraq by spending US Dollars 10,000 it has been revealed. 

A Singaporean Engineer Was Arrested While Attempting To Smuggle Foreign Currency Notes

A Singaporean National Engineer have
been arrested by the Airport Customs officers while attempting to smuggle Rs.10.53 million worth foreign 
currency  notes to Singapore today(24) at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport.

The suspect Had been concealed 50,000 Euros and 50,000 US Dollars in his luggage and had arrived in the Airport to fly to Singapore.

He had arrived in Sri Lanka last friday it has been revealed.

Two Persons Have Been Arrested With 5.7 Kilo Grammes Of Gold

Two persons have been arrested with
5.7 Kilo Grammes of Gold in their possession today(24)by the Sri Lanka Navy at Sea area in Kimbulbokke, Kalpitiya.

The estimated value of the stock of Gold taken into cutody in possession of the suspects is more than Rs.20 million it has been revealed.

A Sudden Fire Had Been Erupted In A Building At Maliban Street In Colombo

A sudden fire erupted in the third floor of a storied Building at Maliban Street in Colombo Fort had been doused by the Colombo Fire Brigade this
evening(24).

Seven fire trucks arrived in the scene along with the fire fighters had been managed to controlled the fire by spreading it to near by buildings it has been reported.

No casualties have been reported due to the fire and the cause of the fire not yet been revealed.
