Two Persons Have Been Arrested With Two Valuable Sea Shells

Special Police Task Force Personal have

arrested two persons with two Sea Shells suspected as a "Triton" type Conch Shells(Valampuri) in their possession at Vishwamadu area in Dharmapuram ,Kilinochchi last evening(12).

They were arrested while transporting the two shells in a Motorcycle.

The suspects are residents of Kodikamam area of the ages 25 and 37 years old .Thet are due to be produced before Kilinochchi Magistrate Court.

Three Persons Have Been Arrested With A Tusk Pearl Bracelet

Beruwala Police had arrested three persons with a Bracelet made of 13 Tusk Pearls in possession  at Paranakade area in Beruwala last night(12).

The three suspects have been arrested while attempting to sell the Bracelet according to the Police.

Police have used a Police Constable as a buyer and purchased the Bracelet for Rs.1 million from the suspects to identify tbeir  illegal business it has been revealed.

The suspects are residents of Beruwala area of the ages 31.33 and 40 years old.

The Bracelet is worth around Rs.10.2 million Police have stated.

Twenty One Heroin Parcels Have Been Recovered At A Coastal Belt In Sampur

Police have recovered 21 parcels

containing 5.5 Kilo Grammes of Heroin at the Ilakkanda coastal belt in Sampur ,Trincomalee today(13).

The recovered Heroin Parcels believes to be left by an individual or a group of persons at the Coastal Belt according to Police.

The estimated value of the haul of Heroin recovered is around Rs.6.6 million .

Two Persons Have Been Critically Injured Due To A Bear Attack

Two persons have been critically

injured and hospitalized due to a Bear Attack while collecting Bees Honey at Kivuthota in Kanthale-Habarana main road last evening(11).

The critically injured uncle and Nephew have been admitted to the Trincomalee Hospital for treatment and they were later transferred to Colombo National Hospital for further treatment.

Ministry Of Justice To Prepare A List Of Drug Smugglers Who Are In Death Row

Ministry of Justice is currently

preparing a list of Prison inmates who had been  sentenced to death over Drug Smuggling charges according to the Ministry.

Soon after finishing the list it will be handed over to the President Maithripala Sirisena the Ministry has stated.

The list of Prison inmates on death row will be prepared as the President recently stated his willingness to sign to implement Capital punishment over Drug Smugglers who were sentenced to death and still imvolved in Drug Smuglling in prisons .

Meanwhile Prisons Department has decided to call applications for the Hangman post after the president's statement on Capital punishment.
