Three Wheeler Fare To Be Increased By Rs.10 Per First Kilo Meter From Tomorrow

The Three Wheeler Drivers Association
has decided to increase the Three wheeler fare by Rs.10 for the first kilo meter with effect from tomorrow(11) due to the  fuel price increase.

Accordingly the Rs.50 Three wheeler fare charge for the first kilo meter will be increased to Rs.60 the Association has stated.

The fuel prices are due to be increased with effect from midnight tonight(10).

Meanwhole there were reports yhat some Fuel stations in the country have charged  the new prices for fuel from the motorists  before the implementation of the price increase.

Galle Face Entry Road Has Been Closed For A Third Day In A Row This Week Today (10)-This Time Due To A Protest March Of SAITM Students

The Galle Face entry road has been temporarily closed from the Lotus Roundabout this morning (10) for the third day in a row this time due to a protest march of SAAITM (Malabe Private Medical Collage ) students and their parents.

A Group of SAITM Students and their parents conducted a protest campaign this morning in front of the Colombo Fort Railway station and then began a protest march towards the Presidential Secretariat by demanding  to implement the decision taken by the government to recruit SAITM Students to the Kotalawala Defense Academy as soon as possible.

The protest march was conducted in peaceful manner however due to the protest march a heavy traffic congestion had seen in and around Lotus road it has been reported.

After handing over a letter contains their demand to the Presidential secretariat  the protesters has ended their protest campaign according to reports.

While hearing the case against the two suspects ,Colombo Fort Magistrate has also ordered the Chief executive officer of the Arrack liquor Company-Mendis Company to hand over  a complete report on  the money issued by Perpetual Treasuries to the Mendis Company.

Magistrate has also ordered the local income department to hand over the information provided by the perpetual treasuries on it's  assets and income ,to the Inspector General Of Police(IGP).
