Five Persons Injured Due To A Road Accident In Habarana

Image result for accidentFive persons were injured ,Two of them critically and hospitalized  after the Motor Car they were traveling in veering off the road and colliding with a tree near 14th post on Habarana-Anuradhapura main road last night(22).

The injured were admitted to the Habarana Hospital for treatment and later transferred to Dambulla Hospital .Two of the critically injured were transferred to Kandy Teaching  Hospital for further treatment according to  Police.

The injured who are residents of Habarana were under the influence of liqour at the time of the incident and the driver of the Car driven the vehicle without considering the Police instructions it has been revealed.

A Couple Arrested Over Attempting To Smuggle A Stock Of Gold To India

Airport customs officers had
today(22)arrested a couple attempted to smuggle 2.35 Kilo Grammes of Gold to Mumbai,India at Katunayake, Bandara naike International Airport.

The estimated value of the Stock of Gold taken in to custody in possession of the suspected couple is more than Rs.9  million it has been revealed.

The male and female arrested with the stock of Gold are of the ages 31 and 34 years and residents of  Maradana area according to customs.

Some Houses In South Submerged With Sea Water Due To The Rough Seas

Some houses in Southern Province near
the sea area had submerged with sea water today(22)as a result of the rough seas appeared in Western ,Southern and South Eastern sea areas according to reports.

However the Meteorology Department has requested the public in these areas not to panic over the situation as the rough seas will appear upto this Tuesday(24) due to the disturbance in lower atmosphere.

Seas in Puttalam to Galle via Batticaloa will be rough and fisheries communities in tbese areas should refrain from going to sea these days Met Department has stated.
