Vehicle Movement In Kothmale Dam Has Been Temporarily Suspended.

Due to an urgent repair work of the Kothmale

Dam,running vehicles on the Dam will be temporarily suspnded for three days  from  tomorrow (25).

The chief Engineer in charge of the Kothmale  reservoir had requested the public to avoid coming to view the Dam these days .

A Person Was Arrested Over Growing Cannabis Plants In Flower Pots

Police officers attached to the Anti Corruption unit  of

Katugasthota police have arrested a 43 year old person over ilegally cultivating seventeen  Cannabies plants  in flower pots inside his house at Gohagoda area.

Along with the suspect  two flower pots used to cultivate cannabis plants have been taken in to custody by the police officers.

The suspect is due to produced before the court .

A 58 year old Cyclist was killed after the

Cycle he was paddling in falling down to a quarry which is more than 200 foot deep at Andigama area on last night (23).

The critically injured Cyc6list had succumbed to his injuries after admitted to the Chilaw Hospital for treatment.

The deceased was identified as a resident of Madawakkulama-wetiya in Andigama area.The accident was occurred near the house of the deceased it has been revealed.

be held in Colombo  tomorrow (25) the vehicle movements in several roads in Colombo will be restricted from 5 a.m to 12 noon tomorrow (25) according to the Police.

Accordingly vehicle movements from  Chaithya Road in Colombo Fort,Galle Face Middle Road,Galle road,Colpe
tty junction to Dumriyapola Road,Marine drive  in Colpetty  to Wellawatte sea side area will be restricted.

Police have requested the Motorists to use an alternative routes when travelling during the above period .
