No Inquiry Will Be Held Against Brigadier Priyanka Fernando Over His Cut Throat Act-Army Commander

There will be no inquiry held  against  the defense adviser to the Sri Lankan High Commission
 in United Kingdom Brigadier Priyanka Fernando who was charged over displaying a throat cut act during a protest conducted by a group of Tamil Diaspora members in front of the Sri Lankan High Commission ,As it proved that the Brigadier has indicated that the Sri Lankan government has cut the throat of LTTE Leader prabhakaren through the act according to the Army Commander Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake.

During an investigation held over the video circulated in the internet regarding the incident it has been revealed that the Brigadier didnt commit a violent act as shown by some social media sites he has stressed.

During the protest held in front of the Sri Lankan High Commission in London on Sri Lanka's Independence day the protesters had shouted slogans like Thamil Ealam is their motherland and Prabhakaran is their leader it has been reported.

Foreign Ministry however quickly reacted over the video footage of the incident circulated in social media regarding the Brigadier's act and temporarily removed the Brigadier from his post .However President Maithripala Sirisena has ordered the authorities to reinstate the Brigadier in his post.

Meanwhile Sri Lankans living in United Kingdom have praised the President's act on  reinstating the Brigadier in his post according to reports.

Police Have Recovered A Stock Of Hand Grenades In Vavuniya

Police have recovered a stock of 15 Hand grenades
belongs to LTTE hidden at Pampamaduwa in Vavuniya where an old defense camp was situated last evening (07)as per a tip provided by a resident.

Police have suspected that LTTE might have hidden these Grenades in the area .

Three Persons Were Arrested With 100 Kilo Grammes Of Cannabis

Image result for arrestedThe Officers attached to the  Anti Narcotic Unit of Mannar Police Division had arrested three persons with nearly 100 Kilo Grammes of Cannabis in their possession at Selawathura area in Savariapuram it has been reported.

The suspects are residents of Selawathura area and they are due to produce before the Mannar Magistrate Court.
