A Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To A Motorcycle-Bus Collision

A 42 year old Motorcyclist was killed after the
Motorcycle he was riding colliding
 with a Private Bus near the Ninth Kilo Meter post on Badulla-Mahiyanganaya main road this morning (07).

The critically injured Motorcyclist had succumbed to his injuries after admission to Badulla General Hospital it has been reported.

Badulla Police have arrested the Bus driver and taken into custody the Bus regarding the incident.

A Female Activist On Prisoners Rights Got Married To A Prisoner At Magazine Prison

A different kind of wedding has taken place inside the

Magazine prison in Borella today (07)as a 41 year old female activist of prisoners rights got married to a 39 year old prisoner who was sentenced to 30 year imprisonment .

According to the newly wedded bride sweety chamila buck , officials did not allow her to getting married the prison inmate Bandula senerath Liyanaarachchi over the last three years and she was finally  able to get married to him as a result of going after the officials.

The bridegroom is a government 's  eye witness of the great Welikada massacare and he is currently facing lot of harrassment due to this the bride has stressed.

Three Prisoners Escaped From Siyamabalanduwa And Moratuwa Court Premises

Three prisoners including two prisoners at
Siyambalanduwa Court premises and One prisoner in Moratuwa Court prison had been escaped today (07).


The prisoner who had escaped from the Prison cell at Moratuwa court had been remanded over smuggling narcotics it has been revealed.

Two investigations have been launched by respective police stations in Siyambalanduwa and Moratuwa  to capture the escaped prisoners.

Airport Customs Had Arrested Two Sri Lankans With 53.5 Kilos Of Wallapatta

Airport Customs had today (07)arrested two Sri
Lankans attempting to smuggle 53.5 Kilo Grammes of expensive Wallapatta illegally to Muscat,Oman at the Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Airport.

The estimated value of the Wallapatta taken into custody in possession of the suspects is around Rs.2.8 million according to customs.

The stock of Wallapatta known as Gyrinops Walla which used to manufacture an expensive perfumes concealed in the luggages of the suspects and one luggage contains 30 Kilo Grammes and 200 grammes of Wallapatta and other luggage contains 23 Kilo Grammes and 300 grammes of Wallapatta it has been revealed.
