A Police Constable Shot And Killed Himself
A 23 year old police constable attached to the Police
Cadet School in Boralanda, Bandarawela had shot and killed himself through his official firearm this morning(16) at his workplace.
The deceased had been identified as a resident of
Ampara area and cause of the suicide was problems arisen in his love affair it has been revealed during initial investigations.
Bandarawela Police are conducting an investigation on the incident.

Two Police Officers Have Been Injured Due To A Motorcycle-Lorry Collision
Two police officers have been injured and hospitalized
this morning (16)after the police motorcycle they were travelling in colliding with a lorry carried a concrete mixture in malangama,batuhena area.
The injured police officers were admitted to the Ratnapura General Hospital for treatment.The injured police officers who are attached to the police traffic division had faced the incident while chasing after a lorry which driven by violating the road rules.

Government Has Temporarily Suspended Recruiting Of New Students To Malabe Private Medical Collage
Government has decided to temporarily suspend the
recruting of new students to Malabe Private Medical Collage until 31st of December 2017 according to Government sources.
Government has made this decision as per the recommandation of the committee apointed by the president Maithripala Sirisena headed by Deputy foreign minister Dr.Harsha De Silva until gazetting the minimum standard of a Medical Collage it has been announced.
Te secretary of the Ministry Of Higher Education and Highways had informed the authorities of Malabe Private Medical Collage on this decision yesterday (15).
