The imprisoned convener of the Medical Faculty
Srudents Actions Committee Ryan Jayalath has been further remanded until 30th of August by the Maligakande Chief Magistrate Court
The medical faculty students Action Committee convener was arrested by Colpetty police as the court issued a warrant to arrest him over not appearing a court case filed against him on organizing anti SAITM Protest campaign inconveniencing the public.

Education Minister Instructed Examination Commissioner General To Appoint A Consultant Committee
Minister Of Education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam has
instructed the Examinations Commissioner General to appoint a Consultant Committee to recommend steps to be taken to avoid examination frauds by using modern equipment.

Five Students Were Killed After The Boat They Were Travelling In Capcized In Jaffna
Five students were drowned and killed and one
student went missing after the boat they were travelling to mandathivu island in jaffna to face G.C.E Advanced level examination today (28) in Jaffna was capcized today (28).
Bodies of five out of the six students travelling in the boat have been recovered and they had been identified as residents of nallur,jaffna,kokuvil and urumpirai areas.
A search operation has been launched in search of the missing student.
