Lotteries Board Again To Be Taken Over By The Finance Ministry

The National Lottaries Board which taken over by the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the Finance Ministry  after the former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayak e became Foreign Minister ,again due to be taken over by the Ministry of Finance and Media sources have said.

The Lotteries Board functioned under the Ministry of Finance and when Former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake had been appointed as the Foreign Affairs Minister during the recent Cabinet Reshuffle he had taken over the Lotteries Board under his new ministry, the decision which was criticized by many.

Foreign Affairs Minister Ravi Karunanayake has resigned from his Ministerial portfolio last Thursday after the Bond commission inquiring on Central Bank bond scam revealed that he had taken a house on lease from the main suspect of the Bond scam Arjun Aloysias when he was the Finance Minister.

A Lane Was Closed Down In Colombo Fort Due To A Protest Of Disabled Soldiers

Image result for colombo fort -olcot mawathaOne lane attached to the Colombo Fort-Olcott Mawatha(Road) was temporarily closed down this morning(11) due to a protest campaign conducted by a group of disabled soldiers demanding solutions for their service demands.
As the protesters have blocked the line where the Vehicles depart from  Colombo in front of the Colombo Fort Railway station a heavy traffic congestion had been reported from the area it has been revealed.
Police have advised the motorists to use an alternative routes when traveling.
The organizers of the protest " National Order Of Protecting War Heroes Rights " has stated that the protesters will begin a fasting campaign  from this evening if the authorities are not providing  solutions for their demands,

A French National Was Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Quarry Blast

A  24 year old French national was injured and a Tea Factory was damaged  after being hit by  pieces  of rock split over  due to an unsafe quarry blast carried out  in a Quarry at demodara in Bandarawela area it has been reported.

The injured had been admitted to the Badulle General Hospital for treatment and he had undergone a surgery at the Hospital due to the accident.

The French national  was injured when he was passing the area with a French girl it has been revealed.
Ella Police are conducting an investigation on the incident.
