Thirteen New Police Officers Recruited To The Bribery Commission

Thirteen new Police officers had been recruited to the Bribery Commission

 in view of expanding the activities of the commission .

Accordingly ten police constables  ,a female Sargent and two female constables were  recruited to the commission with effect from 01st of April.

A shoe sales center was completely destroyed and another two shops

 were damaged due to a sudden fire erupted in the Shoe sales center in Ahangama,Galle(Southern Provincep)this noon(02).

The cause of the fire  not yet revealed .

Two Persons Were Killed After Mounts Of Earth In A Mine Collapsed On Them

Two persons were killed due to a mounts of Earth in a gem mine

 collapsed on them in Mudunkotuwa,Kuruwita area(Rathnapura) this noon(02).

The mounts of Earth collapsed on them while attempting to close the mine according to the Police.

The deceased were identified as residents of Ehaliyagoda and Madagama areas
