A Luxury Car Driven By A Youth Caught Fire On Southern Expressway

A luxury car driven by a 19 year old youth had caught fire and completely destroyed last night(14) near the Kahathuduwa entry of the Southern Expressway it has been reported.

However the youth managed to escape from the burning car unharmed by breaking the windscreen of  front door of the vehicle according to the Police.

According to the reports the youth had taken the Car out of the garden of his residence  without informing his mother and driving towards Dodangoda in Southern Province from  Colombo at the time of the accident.

A Man Died After Hit By Lightning In Bulathkohupitiya

A 60 year old man has died after being hit by a
lightning in wegalle area at Bulathkohupitiya.

The deceased faced this incident while in his house according to the reports.

Thirteen Local Fishermen Had Been Arrested While Illegally Fishing In Local Waters

Sri Lanka Navy Personal have arrested 13 local
fishermen in nachchikuda -wedithalathivu  and Mannar-Southbar sea areas ,while  involving  in illegal fishing  activities  by using an explosives .

Accordingly 9 local fishermen had been arrested in Nachchikuda-Wedithalathivu sea area while fishing by using jelignite explosives and 4 local fishermen had been arrested in Mannar-Southbar sea area for fishing by using dynamite explosives  .

Along with the 9 fishermen arrested in Nachchikuda-Wedithalathivu sea area 2475 kilo grammes of fish,two dinghy boats , two G.P.S Equipment and few fishing nets were taken into custody by the Sri Lanka Navy Personal.
