A Participent Of A One Kilo Meter Race Held In Nagoda Died After Completion Of Two Rounds Of The Race

A laborer(50) attached to Nagoda Pradeshiya Sabha in
Galle district (Southern Province) who participated a 1 Kilo Meter race held at Royal Collage Sports Grounds in Nagoda has died after completion of two rounds of the race this morning(29).

The deceased who was a resident of Udugama (Southern Province )area has withdrawn from the race organized by the Nagoda Divisional Secretariat after completing two rounds by stating he was  not feeling well.

He died after admission to Nagoda Rural Hospital it has been reported.

Former Sprint Queen Susanthika Jayasinghe Has Been Airlifted To Colombo National Hospital From Diyathalawa Hospital

Jayasinghe who was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Diyathalawa Base Hospital last tuesday (27) due to  a suffering from fever believed to be  Dengue ,has been airlifted to colombo National Hospital from a helicopter today according to National Hospital sources.

She is currently receiving treatment at the  Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) of the National Hospital the sources have stated.

The health condition of the former Sprint Queen is not critical and further investigations are being  carried out to identify her illness according to Doctors.

A Teenager Was Killed Due To Motor Cycle-Lorry Collision

A 19 year old teenager was killed as the Motor Cycle
he was  riding collided with a lorry at Ihalagama,Gampaha(Western Province) today (29).

The critically injured teenager who was a resident of Kalagedihena  area (Gampaha) succumbed to his injuries after admission to Gampaha Hospital.

Police have arrested the Lorry Driver regarding the accident.
