European Union Had Launched A Project To Help Sri Lanka's Trade

European Union has yesterday (15)  launched 8
million Euros worth project in Colombo that will help Sri Lanka to increase it's competitiveness in regional and European Markets.

International Trade Center ,United Nations Industrial Development Organization and Sri Lanka Department Of Commerce have jointly launched this project.

Two Fishermen Went To Sea From Arugambay Area Reported As Missing With Their Boat

Two fishermen who went to sea from Arugambe in
Pothuvil area (Eastern Province)yesterday(14) morning  were reported as missing with their boat it has been revealed.

The two fishermen were identified as residents of Pothuvil area.

Pothuvil Police are conducting an investigation on the incident and inform Sri Lanka Navy on the missing fishermen.


A Motor Cyclist Was Killed And Another Injured And hospitalized Due To The Collision Of Two Motor Cycles

A Motor Cycle rider was killed and another was
injured and hospitalized due to two Motor Cycles colliding with  each other on Nelliadi-Jaffna road at Thirumagal area (In Jaffna).

A 67 year old Motor Cyclist succumbed to his injuries on  admission to Jaffna Teaching Hospital with critical injuries.

Other Motor Cyclist was admitted to the Point Pedro Hospital following the accident  according to the Police.

Nelliadi Police are conducting an investigation on the accident.

Health Minister To Recruit Government Dispensers To The Para Medical Service

Minister of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has decided to recruit
 Government Hospital Dispensers to the Para Medical Service according to the Ministry Of Health.

Minister is due to submit a Cabinet Proposal regarding this to the Cabinet soon Ministry has stated.

A 65 Year Old Female Was Killed After Colliding With A Private Bus In Pettah

A 65 year old female was killed today (15) after

 colliding with a private bus travelling from Gunasinghapura to Colombo Fort in pettah area.

The critically injured female succumbed to her
injuries after admission to the Colombo National Hospital.

Pettah Police have arrested the driver of the Private Bus regarding the accident and conducting further investigations on the incident.
