One of the most dangerous aspects of hypertension is that you may not know that you have it. In fact, nearly one-third of people who have high blood pressure don't know it. The only way to know if your blood pressure is high is through regular checkups. If your blood pressure is extremely high, there may be certain symptoms to look out for,

  • Fatigue or confusion.
  • Vision problems.
  • Chest pain.
  • Difficulty breathing.
  • Irregular heartbeat.
  • Blood in the urine.
  • Pounding in your chest, neck, or ears.

  • If you have any of these symptoms, see a doctor immediately. You could be having a hypertensive crisis that could lead to a heart attack or stroke.
    Untreated hypertension can lead to serious diseases, including stroke, heart disease, kidney failure and eye problems.

FCID Has Questioned Former Air Force Chief On Controversial MIG Deal

The FCID has last year questioned the former Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapakshe on the controversial MIG Air Craft Deal  .

University Grants Commission To Increase The Number Of Students Enrolled To Universities This Year

Image result for university grants commission sri lankaAround 27,603 students will be enrolled for Government Universities this year and it's a  10% increase than in previous year according to the chairman of University Grants Commission(UGC) Professor Mohan De Silva.

Last year a total number  of 26,541 Students were enrolled to the Government Universities he has stressed.


The University Entrance cut off marks of the G.C.E Adanced Level Examination held in 2015 has been released today(20) .309,069 students have sat for the G.C.E Advanced Level Examination last year .

The University Entrance cut off  marks can view through the www.ugc.ac.lk and www.selection.ugc.ac.lk the UGC has stated.

Fast Bowler Nuwan Kulasekera Who Was Arrested This Evening Released On Bail

Fast Bowler Nuwan Kulasekera who had been arrested by the Police this evening over a fatal accident occurred in Ranmuthugala,Kadawatha  has been released on police bail according to the reports.

The vehicle of Kulasekera had collided with a Motor Bicycle ridden by a 28 year old youth who was killed as a result.

Four Army Intelligence Officers Arrested Over The Disappearance Of Prageeth Eknaligoda Released On Bail

The four Army Intelligence Officers arrested and remanded over the  disappearance of Cartoonist Prageeth Eknaligoda had been released on bail by the Awissawella High Court today (19).

The Awissawella High Court has released the suspects on bail after considering the bail application filed at the court by their lawyers.

The Criminal Investigations Department(CID) has earlier arrested two Army Lieutenants ,a Sargent and an Army Corporal regarding the disappearance of Cartoonist Eknaligoda after investigations on August 2015.They were remanded by the court later.

Fast Bowler Nuwan Kulasekera Has Been Arrested By Police Regarding A Fatal Accident Occurred At Kadawatha

Sri Lankan fast bowler Nuwan Kulasekera  has been arrested by Kadawatha Police as a 28 year old youth was. Killed when his vehicle collided With the Motor Bicycle the  deceased youth was riding on at Ranmuthugala in Kadawatha(Western Province)area this afternoon.

The Sri Lankan Fast Bowler was on his way Colombo from Kandy when the accident has occurred.The body of the deceased youth was sent to the Ragama Teaching Hospital for an autopsy.

Kulasekera is due to be produced before the Mahara Magistrate .
