Prime Minister Has Assured That An Amended Draft Bill On The Office Of Missing Persons Could Be Brought To The Parliament

Image result for sri lanka parliamentPrime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe has today (25)assured at the parliament that an amended draft bill on the office of missing persons could be brought to the parliament.

Responding to a question made by Leader of the leftist Janatha Wimukthi Peramuna (JVP) MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake in parliament this morning prime minister has assured that the proposals made by JVP could be included to the draft bill which passed in the parliament recently without a vote.

Prime Minister made these remarks after the JVP Leader has raised concerns over not considering the proposals made by JVP to the draft bill.He has also accused that the minister Lakshman Kiriella has failed to hold a meeting with JVP in this regard.


Private Helicopter Carrying Two Government Ministers And A Deputy Minister Made A Sudden Landing

Image result for sri lanka chopperA private helicopter(Chopper) carrying two government ministers and a deputy minister had made an emergency landing at a farming land in Nuwara Eliya (Up Country)this evening  .

Ministers Sajith Premadasa,Naveen Dissanayake and Deputy Minister Indika Bandara who had been on their way to attend a function at Nuwara Eliya were on  board in the helicopter it has been reported.

Due to a mist the pilot of the helicopter had  landed it at a farming land according to reports.

A Body Of A Male Recovered At A Rest House In Kotahena

Image result for crime scenePolice  have recovered a body of a male at a rest house in kotahena (In Colombo) area today (25).

The body was recovered after the manager of the rest house had informed the police about it, it has been reported.


The cause of the death has not been revealed as yet.Kotahena  police are conducting further investigations on the incident.

Colombo Additional Magistrate Has Issued An Order Preventing Overseas Travel To Five Businessmen Regarding The Killing Of Bambalapitiya Based Businessman

Image result for crimes sceneColombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Pieris has today(25)issued an order preventing overseas travel to five businessman in connection with the murder of killing of abducted Businessman Mohomad Shakeeb Sulaiman whose body was recovered in Mawanella yesterday(24) evening.


The overseas Travel Ban Order was issued to the five businessman whowere in hiding after the Businessman Sulaiman's abduction and murder as per the request made by Colombo Crimes Division.

Sulaiman who was abducted by an unknown person/persons on last Monday  believed to be killed on the same day he was abducted although someone close to the place where his body was recovered gave a phone call and demand a ransom money of Rs.20 million for the release of the businessman the Police have stated.

Police Teams which are conducting investigations on the murder ate currently questioning several businessmen and friends who are closely associate with the deceased it has been reported.
