Ten Persons Who Had Stolen Wallets And Mobile Phones From Devotees In Anuradhapura Have Been Detained

The Anuradhapura Police have detained ten persons including eight females who had stolen money wallets and mobile phones belonging to the devotees who participated in the Annual festival of offering jasmine flowers (pichcha mal pooja) to Historical Jayasirimahabodhiya in Anuradhapura.

The police have recovered twelve money wallets,six mobile phones ,few identity cards and money around Rs.12,000 in the possession of the suspects according to sources.

The suspects who are residents in Grandpass-Colombo,Chillaw,Puttalam,Kurunagala and Matale areas  are due to be produced before Anuradhapura Magistrate Court.

Pakistan Airways To Take Four Sri Lankan Air Buses On Rental Basis

Pakistan Airways has currently negotiating with Sri Lankan Air Lines officials on taking four  A-330 Air Buses belonging to Sri Lankan Air Lines on rental basis it has been reported.

A high level team led by chief operations manager of the Pakistan Airways is participating for the on going talks with Sri lankan Air Lines officials the reports have stated.

According to a statement issued by the  Pakistan Airways, they are planning to take four Sri Lankan Air Line Air Buses for their operations to London with effect from 14th of August this year.

Pakistan Airways has  also agreed to get the services of Sri Lankan Air Lines cabin crew who are attached to the above four Air Buses the statement has further revealed.

A Private Laboratory In Hambanthota District Issued Lab Reports To A Male By Confirming He Is Pregnant

It has been reported that a 35 year old married male had received a laboratory blood and urine test reports from a Private Laboratory in Suriyawewa in Hambanthota District (Southern Province) as confirming he is pregnant.

After the male produced the lab test reports to the doctor in Suriyawewa Provincial Hospital he was confused hospital sources have revealed.

The male patient had gone to the private laboratory for the tests according to a recommandation made by a doctor at Suriyawewa Hospital.The Hospital Authorities have stated that the laboratory which has done the above mentioned blood and urine tests not have any qualified  Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) and there are so many instances that the lab had issued false reports as such.

A Body Of A Nine Year Old School Boy Has Found In A Well At Vavuniya

The Vavuniya Police have recovered a body of a nine year old school boy in a well at mundimuruppuwa area in Vavuniya (In Northern Province)yesterday ( 23) according to an information received by the police.

It's not clear whether the student had committed suicide or it' s a murder  the police have stated.The vavuniya police are conducting further investigations on the incident.
