Police Found A Dead Body Of A Doctor Inside A Hotel Room In Gampaha
The body believed to be that of a doctor had been found inside a hotel room in Ja Ela road ,Gampaha according to Gampaha Police.
A Team of Police Officers attached to Gampaha Police had found the body according to an information received by the police.
The Police believed the death could be a result of a suicide as number of injection syringe rs and drugs were found inside the hotel room.The hotel room was booked by the doctor himself the Police have stated.

Former UPFA MP Sajin Vaas Released On Bail
The former MP of United Peoples Freedom Alliance(UPFA) Sajin Vaas Gunawardena who was detained and remanded over the charges of financial fraud has been released on bail by the Colombo Chief Magistrate today(08).
The former MP was released on a cash bail of Rs.500,000 and four personal bails of Rs.500,000 each after being produced before Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya .
The Criminal Investigations Department(CID) has detained former MP Sajin Vaas on 27th of June according to a complaint lodged by a private company director accusing the former MP as defrauding him for over Rs.600 million.
The former MP was released on a cash bail of Rs.500,000 and four personal bails of Rs.500,000 each after being produced before Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya .

Sabaragamuwa University Has Been Temporarily Closed Due To A Viral Flu
Due to a viral flu Sabaragamuwa University has been temporarily closed by the authorities today(08) until 19th of July .
The majority of the students in Sabaragamuwa University have been infected with the viral flu and authorities have requested the students in University Hostels to leave before tomorrow(09) evening.
As a result of the windy weather condition prevailing in the area there are signs of spreading the viral flu rapidly the Vice Chancellor Professor Chandana P Udawatte has stated by announcing the closure of the University.

Convener Of The Inter University Students Federation Was Detained And Remanded
The convener of the Inter University Students Federation(IUSF) Lahiru Weerasekera who was detained by Colombo Fort Police for violating a court order has been remanded by Colombo Fort Magistrate until 15th of July.
The IUSF convener was produced before Colombo Fort Magistrate today(08).He was detained on the charges of violating a court order during a protest march held in Colombo recently.
