Three Sri Lankan Females Were Detained At Katunayake Air Port With Gold Slabs And Jewelry Weighing Over 10KG
Sri Lanka Customs Narcotic Control Officers have today(23) detained three Sri Lankan females who arrived from Dubai at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Air Port with gold slabs and Jewelry weighing over 10 Kilo Grammes in their possession .
The total value of the detained stock of gold slabs and jewelry estimated as Rs.60 million.
The Customs Central Investigations Directorate is conducting further investigations over the incident.

Singapore To Provide US Dollars 100,000 To Sri Lanka As Flood Relief Aid
Singapore has decided to provide US Dollars 100,000 relief aid to Sri Lanka for the benefit of a large number of people in Sri Lanka who affected from the floods and landslides.
The donation is due to be provided to Sri Lanka through Sri Lanka Red Cross.
The Singaporean Government has also sent condolences to Sri Lanka government and people over the loss of innocent lives due to the floods and landslides occurred in the country during past few days .

The financial crimes investigation division(FCID) has today(23) arrested two former government officials A.Dassanayake and Willie Gamage regarding a land deal involved by former economic development minister Basil Rajapakshe.
