The Criminal Investigations Department(CID) has recorded a statement this morning from the Traffic Chief Of The Police Amarasiri Senaratne regarding the murder of former Sri Lankan Rugby Player Wasim Thajudeen.

A Team of CID Officers has recorded the statement of Traffic Police Chief Senaratne it has been reported,


Earlier the former Crimes OIC  of  Narahenpita Police Sumith Perera was detained over allegedly hiding the evidence of Thajudeen's Murder.

Train Service From Galle To Matara Has Temporarily Suspended

Image result for galle matara trainDue to a renovation work of a bridge between Unawatuna and Katugoda Railway Stations ,Train Service from Galle to Matara (In Southern Province)has been temporarily suspended with effect from 10 p.m this Friday(06) according to Sri Lanka Railways Department.

Afrer the  renovation work the train service between Galle and Matara is scheuled to be resumed at 3 a.m on 09th of May it has been reported.

Onychomycosis makes the nails look white and opaque, thickened, and brittle. It usually produces no symptoms other than a cosmetic problem.

 There are many different causes of fungal nail infections, and each cause has a treatment of its own. Although many of the causes of a fungal nail infection are preventable, some risk factors increase the likelihood of developing it. You’re more likely to develop a fungal nail infection if you:
  • have diabetes
  • have a disease that causes poor circulation
  • are over age 65
  • wear artificial nails
  • swim in a public swimming pool
  • have a nail injury
  • have a skin injury around the nail
  • have moist fingers or toes for an extended time
  • have a weakened immune system
  • wear closed-toe shoes, such as tennis shoes or boots

  • Making a few simple lifestyle changes can help prevent a fungal infection of the nails. Taking good care of your nails by keeping them well trimmed and clean is a good way to prevent infections. You should also avoid injuring the skin around your nails. If you’re going to have damp or wet hands for an extended amount of time, you may want to wear rubber gloves.
    Other ways to prevent fungal infections of the nails include:
  • using antifungal sprays or powders regularly
  • washing your hands after touching infected nails
  • drying your feet well after showering, especially between your toes
  • getting manicures or pedicures from trustworthy salons
  • using your own items for manicures or pedicures
  • wearing socks that minimize moisture
  • avoiding being barefoot in public places
  • reducing your use of artificial nails and nail polish

Colombo Public Health Department To Distribute Rat Control Cubes Among Houses In Colombo City

The Colombo Public Health Department has distributed Rat Control Cubes to 53,000 houses within Colombo City Limits during last April in view of controlling the rat population in city of Colombo which increases rapidly according to the Chief Medical Officer in Colombo Dr.Ruwan Wijemuni. 

These Rat Control Cubes are due to be distributed among another  50,000 houses in Colombo within this month Dr.Wijemuni has stated.
