Colombo Fort Magistrate Has Granted Permission To Police To Detain 11 Foreign Drug Dealers Arrested Last Friday For Seven Days

The Colombo Fort Magistrate has  granted  permission to Police to detain 11 Foreign Nationals arrested with a haul of 101 Kilo Grammes Of Heroin while transporting from a Foreign Ship at the Southern Coast of Sri Lanka for seven days.

The Court has granted the permission following a request made to the court.

The Police Narcotic Bureau along with Sri Lanka Navy had last friday (01) arrested 11 Foreign Nationals including 10 Iranians and one Pakistani while transporting a haul of Heroin worth Rs.1100 million while transporting it  from a ship owned by them.

Joint Opposition Group To Submit A No Confidence Motion Against Minister Champika Ranawake

Image result for no confidence motionThe Joint Opposition Group in the Parliament which is supporting former president Mahinda Rajapakshe has decided to hand over a no confidence motion against  Minister of Mega Police and Western Development Patali Champika Ranwake over allegedly trying to evade the law regarding an accident involving   him which left two youths injured at Rajagiriya recently.

The no confidence motion is due to be submitted to the Parliamentary Speaker Karu Jayasuriya within next few days according to Joint Opposition Group.

Newly Modified Beach Park In Crow's Island,Mattakuliya To Be Opened In 09th Of April

The newly modified Beach Park belonging to Crow's Island in Mattakuliya(In Colombo) is due to be inaugurated for locals and Foreign Tourists on 09th of April according to Ministry Of Finance .

This nearly 2 Kilo Meter long Beach Park is comprising of Restaurants,Open Air Theater and a Children's Park.

The Finance Ministry has planned to open a boat service from Galle Face to Crow's Island in future according to the Ministry.

The final touches of creating nearly 2 kilo meter long sea coast off Crow's Island in to a Beach Park is underway at present the Ministry has further stated.

Police To Monitor Traffic Violations In Colombo City From Tomorrow(04)

The Police will monitoring the traffic violations in the Colombo City through CCTV Footage according to Police Media Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekere.

Accordingly those Motorists identify as violating traffic regulations will be informed on fines and the dates they should appear before courts regarding the violations through post  Police Media Spokesman has stated.

The Traffic Violation of the Colombo City will be monitored via CCTV Operational Room and 28 locations in the city will be monitored by using 105 cameras fitted it has been reported.All the visuals will be recorded automatically under the system and a team of police officers under the supervisory duty officer will be assigned for the duty for supervising traffic violations,
