Bail Application Filed Behalf Of Former President's Son Yoshitha And Four Others To Be Taken to Consideration On 14th Of March

The Bail Application filed behalf of  Yoshitha Rajapakshe the imprisoned son  of Former President Mahinda Rjapakshe and four others who are in prion for Money Laundering Charges is due to be taken to consideration by Colombo High Court on 14th of March.

The decision on   taking to  Consideration the Bail Application has taken when the case filed against Yoshitha and four others on Money Laundering Charges was taken up for hearing yesterday(08) at Colombo High Court.

Earlier the High Court was dismissed the bail application filed behalf of the Yoshitha and four others in prison on 29th of February.

The case against the five accused over the Money Laundering Charges is due to be taken to consideration on 14th of March.

Sri Lanka To Host An International Donors Conference To Get Financial And Technical Assistance To Develop War Hit North And Eastern Povinces

The Government is due to convene an International Donor Conference probably in middle of this year to get an International Financial and Technical Assistance to develop former war torn areas in North and East and had requested Japan to take the lead of that Conference according to State Minister Of National Policy And Economic Development Niroshan Perera.

The Donors Conference will be called as Technical Assistance Plus Financial Assistance for the North and East the State Minister has said.

When the Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe has visited Japan recently he has personally requested the Japanese Government to take the lead of organizing an International Donors Conference for North and East and they are now organizing it Minister has stressed.

The Government has already discussed with many countries including China  regarding getting financial investment and assistance to develop war hit North and Eastern Provinces he has further stated.

Right To Information Bill Was Not Presented To The Parliament Today(08) As Planned

The Right to Information Bill which due to be presented to the Parliament today(08) has not been presented due to failure of getting approval from Northern Provincial Council to it according to Minister of Media and Parliamentary Reforms Gayantha Karunathilake.

All other Provincial Councils in the country have approved  Right To Information Bill and Government will take steps to get   approval of Northern Provincial Council to the Bill  during 11-12 of March when  the council meets.

After getting approval from the council the Bill will be presented to  Parliament at the  next Parliament Sitting the Minister has further said.

President Of Pakistan Has Arrived In Sri Lanka For A Two Day Official Visit

The President Of Pakistan Mamnoon  Hussain has today(08) arrived in Sri Lanka along with a 12 member delegation on  a two day official state visit.

During his tour Pakistani President is due to meet top officials of the government including President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe and hold bilateral talks with them.
