President Sirisene Has Said The Organizers Of The Concert Of Western Pop Star Iglesias Should Be Whipped

President Maithripala Sirisene has said today(27) at a rally held in Ampara District(In Eastern Province) that the  concert of a Western Pop Star held recently  in Colombo had conducted in an Uncivilized Manner and the organizers of that Show should be whipped due to this.

President has also said the behavior of the local crowd attended the Pop Show of Western Pop Star Enrique  Iglesias held in Colombo on 20th of December was the most uncivilized behavior that goes against Sri Lankan Culture.

President made these remarks after media reported that the Female fans of  Enrique have ran to the Stage to hug the Pop Star and some threw underwear at him during the Colombo Concert.The Pop Show was organized by a Company run by Former Sri Lankan Cricketers Kumar Sangakkare and Mahela Jayawardene.

The Presidential  Commission To Investigate Into Complaints Regarding Missing Persons has decided to convene a special session in Jaffna District regarding  investigating complaints of missing  persons.

This session is due to be held in January according to the Commission.Up to now the Commission had convened two sessions in Jaffna regarding investigating complaints of Missing persons there.

The period of the Presidential Investigation Commission To Investigate  Into Complaints Regarding Missing Persons is due to be expired on 15th of February and President is responsible for extending the period of the commission.

A Luxury Bus Service is scheduled to be launched within Colombo City from Next Year(2016) according to the Ministry Of Transport And Civil Aviation.

This Luxury Bus Service is one of the Ministry's Proposed Plans and Schedules for the year 2016.

Water Board Employees Have Withdrawn From 0.T Work And Maintenance Work -Water Board Joint Trade Union Alliance

The Employees of the National Water Supplies And Drainage Board had withdrawn from Over Time Work and Weekend Maintenance Services with effect from today(26) by demanding to pay their  full bonus which has been  slashed by the  Water Board Management .

The Water Board Employees will resort an Island Wide three hour strike action on this Monday(28) from 9 a.m to 12 noon to win their demand according to The Joint Trade Union Alliance Of Water Board.During the three hour strike period maintenance and renewal activities ,Customer Care Services including Issuing Water Bills and Water Bill Payments will not be carried out the Joint Trade Union Alliance has said.

If their demand is not met within coming days the Water Board Trade Unions will launch an island wide continuous strike action the Alliance has stated.
