Government Medical Officers Forum Has Requested Health Ministry To Provide Official Transport To All Government Doctors
Medical Officers Forum (GMOF) has requested Ministry Of Health,Nutrition And Indigenous Medicine to offer Official Transport to all Government Medical Officers attach to Government Hospitals Island Wide as Government decided to abolish Car Permits which Medical Officers are also entitled to.s Most of the Government Hospital Doctors are still not provided with Official Quarters,It is essential to provide them with Official Transport GMOF has stressed.
Government has decided to abolish Car Permits provided to Government Workers including Parliamentarians through different schemes from the 2016 Annual Budget Proposals.
Five Suspects With Six Hand Grenades In Their Possession Have Been Arrested At Moratuwa
Five Suspects with Six locally made Hand Grenades in their possession have been arrested today(28) at Moratuwa(In Colombo District) according to Police.
Moratuwa Police have arrested the suspects per the information received by them and the Suspects are to be produced before the Moratuwa Magistrate Court.
Police are conducting further investigations on the incident.

OIC Of Narahenpita Police Crimes Division Who Was Arrested Over Accepting A Bribe Remanded
The Officer In Charge (OIC) of the Crimes Division attach to Narahenpita Police who was arrested by Bribery Commission Officials yesterday(27) while accepting Rs.2.5 Million as a bribe has been remanded until this Monday(30) by the Colombo Magistrate Court.The Suspect OIC was produced before court today(28).
The OIC has been arrested yesterday at Kohuwala Area while accepting a bribe from a Doctor.

UNAIDS Sri Lankan Office To Commemorate World AIDS Day Today(28) At Galle Face Green
The Sri Lankan Office of the United Nations Aids Programme(UNAIDS) with the collaboration of National Sexually Transmitted Diseases(STD) /AIDS Campaign is due to commemorate World AIDS Day which falls on 01st Of December by today(28) at Galle Face Green in Colombo .
The main feature of today's commemoration of World AIDS Day is a Volkswagon Beetle Car Possession which is due to travel in the main areas of Colombo by carrying HIV/AIDS Awareness massages.Fifty Beetle Cars are due to participate this possession which travels 10 main areas in Colombo City and reach the Galle Face Green around 4.30 p.m this evening.
The Car possession is due to be started from Independence Square in Colombo at 2.30 p.m.
There will be a free blood checkup for HIV/AIDS and consultation programme on sexually transmitted diseases at Galle Face Green today as a part of the World AIDS Day Commemoration .
Different Cultural Events are also due to be held under the programme,There's also a Musical Show featuring prominent Sri Lankan Artists and Award Ceremony to pay tribute to those who committed to make awareness among people on HIV/AIDS.
