Police Department Has Transferred 11 OIC'S With Immediate Effect

The Department Of Police has transferred 11 Police OIC'S(Officers In Charge) with immediate effect per the service requirements according to  Police Media Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekere.

These Transfers were given per the instructions of Inspector General Of Police (IGP) N.K. Ilangakoon Police Media Spokesman has said.Police OIC'S of Samanthurai,Anamaduwa,Illupukadawai,Kotahena,Pothuwil and Kuttigala Police Stations are among st the transferred OIC'S.

Jerome Jayaratne Has Been Appointed As Sri Lankan Cricket Team's New Head Coach

Sri Lanka Cricket has today(07) appointed it's director of the  coaching department  Jerome Jayaratne as the new interim head coach of  Sri Lankan National Cricket Team with immediate effect.He will be   the head coach of  Sri Lankan Cricket Team for the forthcoming Cricket Match series against  West Indies scheduled  in  October.

Sri Lankan Cricket Team's former Head Coach Marvan Atapattu has resigned from his post last week after back to back Test Match Defeats suffered by Sri Lankan Team on the hands of India and Pakistan.

Health Minister Left For Eastern Timore To Attend South East Asian Health Summit

The Minister Of Health And Indigenous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne had left for Eastern Timore to attend South East Asian Health Summit of the World Health Organization(WHO).

This summit is scheduled to be held from today(07) up to This Friday(11).Health Minister Dr.Senaratne is scheduled to be delivered a special speech at the Summit which will discuss the Health Priorities of the Regional Countries.Health Ministers of 11 South East Asian Countries are to be Participated this summit .

The next South East Asian Health Summit is due to be held in Sri Lanka.

There's no need to conduct an international inquiry regarding the alleged war crimes against Sri Lanka according to former chief minister of Eastern Province and former LTTE Militant Sivanasathurai Chandrakanthan allias Pillayan.

Addressing to the Media today at his Batticloe (In Eastern Province)he has  stressed that his party TMVP is on the view that there's no need for an international inquiry into the alleged war crimes. "LTTE  has involved in  so many war crimes during the war with Sri Lankan Army and it's not fair to put the finger only towards Sri Lankan Army regarding war crimes " Pillayan has said.

Pillayan is currently functioning as a Provincial Councilor in the Eastern Provincial Council.
