Litro Gas Stopped Gas Distribution Whilst Consumers Are In Gas Queues

At a time  when there's a severe Gas shortage Island wide  and people are in Queues to get Gas cylinders, Country's leading Gas provider Litro Gas Company had given five day leave for  the  Sinhala and Hindu New Year from today (13) until 17th of April it has been reported ,

As a result distribution of Gas from Litro Gas Company's  Gas terminals  at Kerawalapitiya and Muthurjawela had completely stopped for five days it has  been revealed .The distribution of Litro  Gas is scheduled to be resumed  from 18th of April according to the sources.

Public Protest In Galle Face Green Entered It's Third Day

 The Protest Campaign currently being held at Galle Face Green in Colombo demanding the resignation of President and the government MP's entered it's third day today (12).

A section of Buddhist clergy as well as some veteran Artists like Singers Visharada Nanda Malini.Swarna Mallawaarachchi ,Visharada Chandrika Siriwardane and Professor Sunil Ariyaratne had arrived in Galle Face green to support the    protesters 

The Protesters had formed a new village call "GotaGo Gama " at the protest site  as well it has been reported .

Another 60 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (12)

 Another 60 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (12) Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 662,717 according to Epidemiology Unit .

At the moment 3709 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under home care system the Unit has stated .

However only 1137 PCR tests and 692 Rapid Antigen tests had been performed in the Country yesterday (11) it has been revealed ,

Ceypetco To Stop Issue Diesel And Petrol In Cans And Bullies

 Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Ceypetco) has decided not to issue Diesel and Petrol to Cans and Bullies through it's filling station from tomorrow (12) until next Thursday (14) as many people are  reported as unnecessarily  collecting Diesel and Petrol stocks at this stage .

However People can collect Kerosene Oil in  Cans and Bullies the Chairman of Ceypetco Sumith Wijesinghe has stated.

Ceypetco had issued 35,000 metric tones of Diesel and Petrol to  it's filling stations during last four days he has stated. Meanwhile Diesel and Petrol queues as well as Gas queues have seen in many areas in the country today as well.

Three Corona Deaths Reported Today (11)

 Another 03 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (11) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 16,492 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS).

Accordingly 02 males and a female  over 60 years of age had died due to Corona Infection today the DGHS has stated .
