Island Wide Travel Restrictions Extended Until 28 Th Of May

Amidst appeals from medical circles to impose  a 14 day national lockdown In the country to curb the spread of Corona virus in the country government has decided to extended the islandwide travel restrictions imposed. From.11 p m Friday night until 28 th morning it has been announced .. 

Earlier the travel.restrictions are being scheduled to lift on 4 a.m next Tuesday morning and reimpose it from.11 p.m that day until 28 th of May. However a person from a household will be able to go to a near by shop.or market to purchase goods on 25 the and 28 th of May according to authorities .

Essential service are being maintained I'm.tjr country during the restrictions according to government .

Another 2906 Corona Positives Were Reported On Saturday (22)

 A total of 2906 Corona positives had been  reported in Saturday (22) increasing total number of Corona positives reported from.the country so far to 161,242 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

At the moment 33,115 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and treatment centers .

90 Corona Deaths Were Reported During Last Two Days (21 and 22)

 A total number of 90 Corona deaths had been reported in the country during last two days (Friday and Saturday ) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 1178 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly 44 Corona deaths were. Reported on Friday and 46 Corona deaths were reported on Saturday the Center has stated .

Among those died on Friday there were 22 yeaar old female and a pregnant female and a 29 year old female was among those died on Saturday .Many of the deceased were residents of outstation areas and there were 59 makes and 31 females among those died due to covid pneumonia and complications related to non communicable diseases it has been revealed .

Majority Of Corona Positives Had Been Reported From Gampaha District On Thursday (20)

 The majority of Corona positives Reported Yesterday (20) which  was 822 were reported from Gampaha District according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

The second highest total of Corona positives had been reported from Colombo District (674) and third highest total of Corona positives had beer. Reported from Kalutara District (278).

3538 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (21)

 A total o 3538 Corona positives had been reported in the country today (21)increasing the total.number of Corona positives reported so far to 158,333 According to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

At the moment 31,884 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and quarantine centers .
