Another 09 Corona deaths had been reported today (03) Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far in the country to 696 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .
Accordingly 07 males and 02 Females resided in outstation areas including kabithigollawa ,Polonnaruwa ,Levila had died due to Covid pneumonia and complications of non Communicable diseases they have suffered from .
A total of 1843 Corona positives had been reported today (02)increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 111,753 According to National Covid -19 Prevention. center .
At the moment 13,824 Corona Positives are being treated in Government hospitals and treatment centers
Government has today (02) reversed it"s earlier decision to isolate Piliyandala Police division ,By lifting the isolation in that division and instead isolating 10 Grama Niladari Divisions (Rural Development Officer Divisions) there and one in Maharagama Police division with effect from.5 a m tomorrow (03)morning due to surge of Corona cases according to the Army Commander General Shavendra De Silva .
Accordingly 10 Grama Nildhari Seva Divisions in Piliyandala Police division and Arawwala North Grama Niladari Division in Maharagama Police division will be isolated from.5 a m tomorrow morning .
As Government had announced the isolation Of Piliyandala Police division with immediate effect yesterday ,People in the area had flocked around markets ,Banks and petrol sheds to get their daily needs since this morning it has been reported .
A total of 1699 Corona positives had been reported today (01) according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .Accordingly the total number of Corona Positives that had been reported so far had risen to 109!,862 the Center. Has said .
At the moment 12,697 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and Treatment centers it has been revealed .
All Schools ,Universities ,Pre Schools ,Tution classes and Sunday Religious Classes (Daham Pasal ) are being closed until further notice due to the rising number of Corona infections in the country ,The Director General Of Health Services Dr .Asela Gunswardane has stated .
Earlier the Ministry of Education has announced that All schools ,Universities and Pre schools will be closed until 07 the of May .
