A Corona Positive Infected With South African Corona Variant Identified In Sri Lanka

A Corona Positive infected with South African Corona Virus variant "B.1.351 " had been identified in Sri lanka for the first time according to the Director of Department of Immunology and Moleculllar Science Dr.Chsndima Heewandaea .

Accordingly the Corona positive who had returned from Tanzania recently and currently at a Quarantine center had been tested positive for the South African Corona virus variant dr Jeewandara had stated .


The Department of Immunology and Moleculllar sciences of Jayawardanapura University had collected 85  samples from corona positives in  several quarantine centers including ones at Mahiyanganaya ,Awissawella and Biyagama area during last month and out off these samples 04 samples were foreign Corona virus variants including 01 South african variant and 03 UK Variant he has stated .

However 81 samples were belongs to Corona virus variant of Sri lankan origin dr Jeevandara has further stated .

Two Persons Arrested When Attempting To Fly Canada and Germany Through Fraudulent Documents

 The immigration and Emigration Department Officials had last morning (11)arrested two persons who had attempted to fly to Canada and Germany via Dubai through another  ones Passport and a Fraudulent German visa document at the Katunayake International Airport 


Accordingly a 35 year old resident of Chavakachcheri area who had attempted to fly Canada through another ones Passport and a 29 tear old female residing in Point pedro who had attempted to fly Germany through a fraudulent German visa document had been arrested in wee hours of last morning .Both of them were due to aboard fly Dubai Airlines flight at the time of their arrest .

During questioning the female who had attempted to fly Germany has told the officials that she has received the visa document for Rs .1 million from a Broker at Moratuwa

Police Recovered A Burnt Body Of A Businessman At Kohuwala

 Kohuwala Police had recovered  a body which was burnt with his Motor Car at Asiri Road in Kohuwala ,Nugegoda  last night (10? It has been reported  


Accordingly  the burnt body of a  33 year old Businessman resided at Kalubowila area had been found the Kohuwala Police has stated .The way the deceased had died is still a mystery and according to reports he had a dinner at another place and left from there  last Tuesday night (09) .Afterwards his vehicle a Wagon had  caught fire and the cause of the fire has not yet been revealed .

The government analyst is today (11)due to visit the place where the incident had  happened it has been revealed .


300 Corona Positives Reported Yesterday (10)

 A total of 300 Corona Positives had been reported yesterday (10)increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 86,685 According to National Covid -19 prevention Center .


Accordingly these positives were the contacts of Previous Corona positives bonging to several Corona clusters in the country the Center has stated .

A total of 2964 Corona Positives are being treated at Government hospitals and treatment centers at present .


Another 04 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported. Yesterday (10)

Accordingly 03 males and a female resided at Alawathugoda ,Colombo-14,Colombo -09 and ,Nugegoda areas had died due the complications of non communicable diseases they have suffered from caused by Corona infection the Center  has stated .

One of the deceased were 23 year old youth and other three were of the ages 57-77 years it had been revealed
