Thirteen Police Officers Of The Colombo Crimes Division Had Been Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 Thirteen Police officers attached to Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) had been tested positive for corona virus through "PCR "tests performed on them according to sources  


These Corona positive police officers had been infected with the virus through a  police constable attached to the canteen of CCD who had been tested positive for the virus earlier the sources had revealed .

After identifying the Corona positive police constable 20 police officers attached to CCD had  undergone "PCR "tests and 13 of  them had been tested positive for the virus 

President Has Instructed The Officials To Expand "PCR tests Islandwide

 President Gotabaya Rajapskshe  has today(29)instructed the officials  attached to Covid -19 presidential Task force to perform "PCR "Tests island wide to prevent the spreading of Corona virus in the country  during a meeting held with the officials today (29) at President s office in Colombo


.

President has also ordered the officials to find the cause behind the rising of Corona infections in the country and prevent any future outbreaks of the virus .

The. officials of the Task force had shown the president that the Corona virus had spread 28 MOH areas out of the 352 MOH areas in the country and steps had been taken to  prevent the spreading of virus to rest of the  MOH areas.






Samurdhi Development Department Has Been Closed Down After One Of It's Employees Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 Samurdhi Development Department had been closed down with immediate effect from today (29) after one of it"s  female employees had been tested positive for Corona virus .


The female employees had been infected with corona virus as her husband is a fish merchant it has been revealed .However she had hidden her husband's employment details from the department according to sources .

All the employees attached to the department had been forwarded for "PCR "tests the Samurdhi Department has announced .


67 Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Today (29/

 A total of 67 Corona Positives had been discharged from Hospitals today (29) after full recovery ,increasing  the total number of Corona Positives discharged from Hospitals so chjj in to  4142 According to the Epidemiology Unit .


Accordingly 67 Corona positives had been discharged from Theldeniya ,IDH ,Galigamuwa ,hospitals .

At the moment 5630 Corona Positives are being treated at government hospitals .

Quarantine Police Curfew To Be Implemented In Western Province From Tonight (29)

Quarantine Police Curfew is scheduled to be implemented in Western. province temporarily from midnight tonight (29) until 5 a.m on next Monday (02) to avoid spreading of Corona virus in the province. According to Army Commander General. Shavendre De Silva .


During this curfew period no one in the province comprising of Colombo ,Gampaha and Kalutara Districts  will be allowed to leave the western province as well as no one can enter the province from outside The Army commander has stated .

Only those attached to essential services including health ,water electricity ,ports and ,Media sectors are being allowed to enter the province from outside during the curfew period .

This curfew is a temporary one and it will be lifted on Monday morning he has stressed .





457 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (2

 A total of 457  Corona positives had been reported yesterday(27/according to Epidemeology Unit .


Accordingly majority of them .A total of 222 Corona. Positives had been reported from Gampaha District and 183 Positives had been reported from Colombo District .

Another 16 positives had been reported from Kalutara and 10 positives had been reported from Niwara Eliya district  

A total of 9081 Corona positives had  been reported in the country so far and 4987 positives are being treated at Government hospitals so far .
