Islsnd Wide Full Day Curfew To Be Imposed On This Sunday (31) And Thursday (04) And Friday (05)

An Islandwide Curfew will be imposed

on this Sunday (31) until Monday (01) morning and Next Thursday (04) and Friday (05- poson full moon  pohoya day ) to avoid mass gatherings
Which can lead to spreading  of Corona vitus  according to the Presidebtial Secretariet .


Accordingly Island wide curfew from 01st of June to 03rd of June will be implemented from 10 p.m to 4 a.m daily and same time from Saturday the 06 th of June until further notice .

150 Corona Positives Reported From Yesterday (27)-92 Of Them Were Kuwaiti Arrivals

A total of 150 Corona virus positives

had been reported yesterday (27)until 11.55 p.m ,increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 1469 according to the Epidemeology Unit .

This is the highest number of Corona positives reported from Sri lanka on a single day and out of this number 92 positives were Kuwaiti arrivals who are under quarantine in quarantine centers and 53 were Navy personal and 05 were those who were arrived from Chennai,India and under quarantine the Unit had stated.

At the moment 727 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals .

Former Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne Had Been Further Remanded

Colombo Additional Magistrate has

today (27)further remanded the Former Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne until 10 th of June after been produced him before the court today .

Dr.Senaratne who was Arrested by Criminal Investigations Department(CID) on 13 th of May afrer surrendering to the Department over the allegation levelled against him on conducting A media briefing on White van abductions had been remanded until today .

Sri Lankan Airlines Had Brought Back 268 Sri Lankans Stranded In Qatar

A Special Sri Lankan Airlines flight

carrying 268 Sri Lankans who were being employed and stranded there due to the Corona pandamic had arrived at Katunayake Intenational Airlines this

morning (27).

Out of the 268  Sri lankan passangers in the flight 258 had been seared in Economy class and 10 had been seated in Business class it has been reported .There were 04 Children among the passangers .

After their arrival Sri lanka Airforce personal had disinfected them and tbeir luggage and afterwards tbey were checked by the Doctors at the Airport health office on Corona virus symptoms .
Later they were transported to Quarantine Centers from Special Army buses .

134 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (27) From.Foreign Arrivals And Navy Clusters

A total of 134 Corona  virus positives

had been reported in the country until 8,30 p.m today (27) increasing the total number of Corona positives in the country to 1453 according to Epidemeology Unit.

Out of the Corona positives reported today upto now 81 were Foreign arrivals and 53 were Navy personal under quatantine in Quarantine centers it has been reported.

At the moment 711 Corona positives and 75 persons  suspected as Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals .
