Ten Corona Virus Positives Identified Yesterday (18)-Total Number Of Positives Has Been Increased To 254

Another 06 Corona Virus positives had

been reported in the Island last night(18) ,Increasing the total number of Corona virus positives reported from the country so far to 254 according to the Epidemeology Unit .

These Positives had been identified from Welissra Quarantine center it has been reported .10 Corona positives had been identified during yesterday and now 161 Corona virus positives are being treated at 04 Hospitals under medical supervision according to the Ministry of Health .

Government To Relax The Curfew In All Districts Except 25 Police Divisions

Government has today (18)decided to

relax the island wide curfew imposed since 20 th of March ,from this Monday (20) except 25 police divisions in Colombo ,Gampaha,Kalutara ,Puttalam and Kandy districts.

Accordingly curfew imposed in  all Districts except those 25 police divisions will be lifted on 5 a.m on Monday(20)and will be re imposed from 8 p.m same day .

From Tuesday the curfew in curfew lifted areas will be imposed daily from 8 p.m to 5 a.m next morning .

If a Corona patient had been identified in one of these curfew lifted areas Curfew wil be re imposed without a notice it has been announced .

Four Corona Positives Had Been Identified -Another Nine Positives Discharged Today (18)

Four corona virus positives had been

identified and nine corona virus positives who were hospitalized had been discharged after being fully recovered today (18)according to the Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly the total number of Corona virus positives reported from Sri lanka had been increased to 248 and the total number of Corona virus positives that were  discharged from hospitals had been increased to 86 .

Three out of the four corona virus positives identified today were reported  from Oluwil quarantine center.

Another 155 Corona virus positives are being treated in 04 hospitals under strict medical supervision it has been revealed  .

There are seven corona deaths reported from the country .

Updated-Government Is Considering To Open Closed Offices After Next Monday Step By Step

Government is currently considering

to  re-open.the offices in Government and private sectors which were closed down with the island wide cur due to the Corona virus spread ,step by step after next monday (20)according to sources .

However Governmemt has decided to lift curfew in 21 districts except Colombo ,Kalutara ,Gampaha and Puttalam districts  identified as high risk zones   as a first step according to sources .The five Districts remain under the curfew will be re-opened at the end of this month the sources have stated .

Therefore  Government had already instructed the transport ministry to run 5000 Sri lanka Transport Board (SLTB) buses and 400 train journeys daily after 20 th .

All employees return to work should be provided with face masks and sanitisers according to the advise of health sector officials it has been announced .

However  government is considering to re open government and private sector offices with a limited number of workers per day it has been revealed .
