Police Have Arrested 180 Persons Over Violating The Curfew In Several Areas

Polce have arrested 180 persons who
had  violated  the ongoing idlsnd wide curfew during the period 6 p.m last evening (20) until 9 p.m today (21).

These suspects had been arrested over the charges of having a party , playing in sports  grounds ,walking on the road under the influence of liquor ,involved in trade activities and travelling in vehicles during the curfew hours throughout the island.

Around eight persons had been arrested in Bandarawela over having a party during the curfew and one at haputale over opening a shop for trade activities it has been reported .

Except Colombo, Gampaha And Puttalam Districts Curfew To Be Lifted in.Other Districts on Monday Morning

Government has decided to extend the
island wide curfew imposed in Colombo ,Gampaha and Puttalam Districts for another day until 6 a.m Tuesday morning (24) and to lift the curfew in all other Districts at 6 a.m on Monday (23)Presidential Secretariet had announced this evening .

Earlier Government has announced the curfew imposed islsnd wide from 6 p.m last evening (20) to prevent the spreading of Corona virus will be lifted at 6 a.m on Monday morning.

The curfew scheduled  to be lifted in Colombo ,Gampaha and Puttalam Districts at  6 a.m on Tuesday will be re imposed in same day from 2 p.m onwards it has been reported.

The curfew imposed in other districts scheduled to be lifted  on Monday at 6 a.m and  will be re imposed again at 2.p.m in the same  evening Until 6 a.m on Tuesday.

The lifting of curfew in all Districts to be announced shortly according to the government .Government has ordered to remain closed all liquor shops throughout the island whenever the curfew is being lifted .

The curfew had been imposed by the government in.view of tracing more than 1000 persons who came from corona virus hit Italy recently and avoid self quarantine process and to prevent people from social gathering.

Number Of Corona Virus Patients Reports World Wide To Be Nearing 300,000

Around 283,748 Corona Virus patients
had been reported from 186 countries and territories around the globe with 11,833  deaths according to the latest statistics revealed at 5 p.m Sri Lankan time today  (21).

Majority of these patients had been repored from China and the majority of Deaths had been reported from Italy .

Four New Corona Virus Positives Identified Today (21)--Total Number Has Been Increased To 76

Four (04)new Corona Virus positives
had been identified last evening (21)and with it   total number of Corona virus patients identified in Sri Lanka has been increased to seventy six (76) the Health Ministry has announced .

The four new Corona virus positives had been identified whilst receiving treatment at Anuradhapura General Hospital the Ministry has stated .

Meanwhile 245 persons suspected as infected with the virus are being treated at 18 Hospitals including Infectious Diseases Hospital in Angoda by noon today according to Epidemeology Unit .Majority of corona virus suspected persons are being admitted to the IDH Hospital according to reports .

Accordingly 241 Sri Lankans and 04 Foreigners suspected as infected with Corona Virus are being treated in 18 Hospitals up to now . 

The latest statistics revealed 67 percent of the Corona virus positives reported from Sri Lanka are males and 33 percent are females. According to the age majority of the patients which is 34.7 percent are from the age  group 
41-50 .
