Six Accused Of Avant Guards Floating Armoury Case Including Avant-Guarde Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi Released

Tribunal Judge panel has
today(17)released six accused persons of the Avant-Guarde illegal floating armoury case   five of them from all charges and  the chairman of  Avant guard Company Nissanka Senadhipathi on bail .

Accordingly five of the accused including Avant-Guarde company and Rakna Lanka Company had been released from all charges and Avant-Guarde Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi Had been released on a cash bail of Rs.500,000 and two surety bails of Rs.2.5 million each .

Tribunal Judge panel has also decided to keep only 19 charges out of the 7573 charges levelled against 13 accused of the floating Armoury case .

The case against the 08 other accused of the case  is scheduled to be taken up for hearing on 10 th of February.

Current President Gotabaya Rajapakshe was also among the accused over maintaining a Floating armoury in   southern  seas illegally .However  charges against him had been  dropped after electing as President.

Judicial Services Commission Interdicted Baddegama Magistrate Over Involving in A Convesation WIth MP Ranjan Ramanayake In A Recorded Video

Judicial Service Commission has yesterday
(16)interdicted Baddegama Magistrate Dammika Hemapala over involving  in a controversial  conversation with UNP MP Ranjan Ramanayake which was videoed without holding a prelimanary inquiry against the incident .

In an enviornment which the Government Analyst is still investigating  on the controversial  CD"s belonging  to MP Ramanayake containing telephone conversations he had with several higher officers including Judges ,Judicial Services Commission  had intetdicted the Baddegama Magistrate .

The Nugegoda Magistrate who had ordered to remand MP Ramanayake had instructed the authorities to produced the MP before Governmemt Analyst for a voice test to ascertain whether the voice in audio clips containing telephone conversations of MP which are circulating in social media is really the voice of his  .This means authorities still in doubt whether the voices in these aidio clips arre real or fake .

Meamwhile Attorney General.Dappula De Livera had ordered the Colombo Crimes Division director last evening (19)to record statements from three judges  including Colombo High Court Judge Padmini Ranawaka  ,Embilipitiya High Court Judge Gihan pilapitiya and Baddegama Magistrare Dammika Hemapala over involving  in telephone conversatuons with MP Ranjan Ramanayake .

Meanwhile Judicial Service Commission had recommended the president over the behaviour of Embilipitiya High Court Judge Gihan Pilapitiya u
