Government To Increase The Value Of The School Uniform Voucher Implemented By Previous Government

Ministry of Education has decided to
increase the Value of the vouchers providing for the Government School children to purchase uniform cloths by Rs.210 according to Ministry of Education .

Accordingly The value of the Uniform cloth voucher scheduled to be provided shortly has been increased from Rs.525 to Rs.735 Ministry has stated.

Edication Ministry has also decided to print a photograph of a group of school children on the Voucher instead of photographs of Politicians .

Although current government has decided to continue the previous government's programme of  providing Uniform vouchers for school children ,they have criticized whilst in the opposition when the previous government has implemented this programme then .

Several Teachers unions had criticized the present Education Minister over his failure to provide Uniform vouchers for school children before ending the final  term of schools last december.

Four Airforce Personal Had Been Killed After Their Aircraft Crashed In At Haputale

Four Airforce personal had been killed
after the Y-12 light Aircraft they were flying in had crashed in to an Estate area  at Thambapanni  In Haputhale (Central Province)last morning (03).

The deceased includimg a Group Captain and a Squadron Leader attached to Sri Lanka Airforce were flying   in the Aircraft belonging to Airforce from Weerawila Airbase to Haputhale for an observation mission at the time of the incident.

However in the air the pilot of the light Aircraft  had  lost the control of the flight due to  some reason and as a result it crashed in to the estate area it has been revealed .

A female lives at a house nearby the crash site had been hospitalized due to a shock according to reports .

Airforce had launched an inquiry over tbe incident.
